Sweet potatoes do wonders for your skin.  According to Bustle, sweet potatoes are an excellent source of beta carotene- an antioxidant that converts vitamin A into our bodies. Antioxidants protect our skin from free radicals and vitamin A deficiency is a major cause of dark, dry skin.
